Well I think we can eliminate Michael Bay from the lineup of potentials--too many explosions and not enough cool factor beyond skin-deep. Probably also not James Cameron either, for the same reasons. If we want someone who can make an exciting high-budget movie that is also deep and memorable, howabout Rob Cohen? (Dragonheart, xXx, The Fast and The Furious) Or perhaps Ridley Scott? Making a movie about a topic that is epic isn't the same as crafting a movie that IS epic. Martin Scorsese is a possibility, maybe.
